Doom 2 is a strategic game in which the user has to defeat monsters placed. All the player has to do is kill, find keys, and collect bonuses. The awesome inventory of weapons has practically everything you could ask for: from shotguns, chainguns, rocket launchers, to plasma rifles. Your reflexes will be tested constantly and you will need top be on your toes at all times to avoid being hit.

The demons are well-designed and aptly named. The Revenants have fireballs launching from their shoulders, the Cyber Demons can fire deadly shots, the Arch Viles can invent psychic attacks which are guaranteed to blow you away, while the Arachnotrons have plasma guns. All the levels have different themes, some of which are give you a genuine feeling of being in a dark Doom world. Players who have played the game Serious Sam will notice how the monsters actually attack each other. You can sometimes have fun by sitting still and watching the monsters beat the hell out of each other.

Controls are nice and responsive; you can use the R and L buttons to sidestep. The soundtrack adds to the game's atmosphere and will keep you on the edge of your seat. The tunes are original and suit the atmosphere well. The graphics are also top notch. Some of the demons and other characters appear incredibly realistic. The landscape has also been well done, with nice touches to the different worlds. Overall, there is nothing to complain about in this game.
