You become Salvatore Leone’s right-hand man your job is to start and finish gang wars with other mafia families, triads and yakuzas.
If you have played the last three Grand Theft Auto games, you will immediately recognize a few names and faces. But the storyline of Grand Theft Auto Liberty City is separate from all the other games of this series and it is not important to remember the characters from those games.
In this game, as Toni, you stick to your missions and you can easily finish the game in story mode in approximately 10 to 12 hours. The game also has some side missions and those can be fun. If you want to get into street races, you have to look for a ringing pay phone. You can go to car lots to sell cars or motorcycles by test driving the vehicles for prospective customers. In addition, there are 100 hidden packages in game that are waiting to be found. If you manage to get to all the optional stuff in the game, you can be sure that you will see more of the city in many different cars!
Most missions in the game are quite simple and the tasks you have to carry out are one dimensional like stealing a specific car and driving it back to a particular location without wrecking the ar. The combat missions are slightly tougher than the driving ones and this only because the game’s control scheme gets in your way!
Grand Theft Auto Liberty City looks great in PSP but it has some technical issues. The frame rate is not so fast but when you are driving fast you get a sense of speed. That said, this is one of the best PSP games but the basic mission design and dull storyline is quite a let down.
